Creators have the juice to change the world.
5 minutes of your life = infinite creator inspo.
Hey creators! Just a reminder that you have the juice to make real change in the world. Content creation isn’t *just* about aesthetics and piecing together the best collage-style video, it’s about sharing what’s unique about your perspective and life with your community. You have a story to tell, a lesson to teach, and a song to sing. Even if that song is about corn and how beautiful it is, there are a bunch of people waiting to hear it. And make sure to tag us, because we want to see it, too.
Break a leg out there!

Take a Seat, Google
TikTok has become a common place to learn about new topics, search for educational videos, and gain insights on the latest trends. The algorithm is so smart, it’s easy to find exactly what you’re looking for. As a result, Gen Z is using it as a search engine. Yes, you heard that right. Whether it be restaurant recommendations, career advice, or ways to fix a leaking sink, TikTok is quickly becoming the first place people go to online for help. Hey Google, watch your back, because you’re about to be dethroned.
Little Extras
What’s good in your area? TikTok wants to help you answer that question with a new “Nearby” feed that shows you local stuff. The hope is that the algorithm will curate the best of the best based on your tastes and interests, serving it up on a little platter for you. Isn’t that delicious?

#FreeTwitchCreators. Y’all know Twitch, the streaming platform? If you don’t, it’s a place for streaming live videos, watching e-sport competitions, and interacting in real time. The problem is that users couldn’t stream on other platforms – until now.
In a recent report that comes as a shock to no one at all, Reels on IG are still very hot, generating more reach and engagement than any other type of post. Gee, why is that? Perhaps because the algorithm still only shows us video? Don’t worry photographers, carousels are still doing pretty good, too.
Rumor has it that brand partnership payments are declining. Content creators and influencers aren’t particularly worried though, mainly because ad spend isn’t slowing down for bigger names. What does it mean for smaller creators? Well, you may want to get Athletic Green’s attention because they’re still throwing money around like it’s 2019.
Are we all turning into goldfish? Actually, that would be an improvement, because apparently they have an attention span of 9 seconds, whereas humans are sitting nicely around the 8-second mark. According to YouTube, we are all speeding up videos, watching things faster and faster throughout the day, because we just can’t focus for long enough.
Corporate job? In this economy? Young workers are shunning what was considered the ultimate career goal for more freedom and flexibility as social media influencers. Plus, they’re making more money than you, so it’s time to take their entrepreneurship seriously. But like any entrepreneurial endeavor, it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
