If you’ve landed on this article, then you’re probably already using The Leap to transform your expertise into digital products, like mini-courses, guides, and tutorials. But did you know that you can now share your knowledge with your followers one-on-one with our new Book My Time feature?

That’s right: The Leap is now fully equipped with built-in calendar booking capabilities, which means you can set and sell your calendar availability all directly within The Leap. That means, on top of your digital product offering, you can now sell discovery sessions, consultation calls, or coaching services via your Leap store.

What is The Leap’s Book My Time feature?

Book My Time is The Leap’s built-in calendar booking feature. It enables you to schedule, manage, and sell your calendar availability all directly within The Leap.

To dig into it, Book My Time allows you to sell one-on-one sessions, like discovery, consultation, and coaching calls to your clients, by setting your calendar availability, creating and publishing Book My Time products, and viewing your upcoming bookings.

Our Book My Time feature just means you no longer need to rely on third-party apps to sell coaching calls and appointments on your Leap store. You can do it all on The Leap — it’s called an “all-in-one platform” for a reason!

Why use The Leap’s Book My Time feature?

There are a number of features that give The Leap’s Book My Time a leg up on other calendar booking apps:

  • Book and sell multiple session types: You can have multiple Book My Time products live on your Leap store, concurrently. This means you can publish and sell multiple session types with different durations, simultaneously. Other platforms, like Calendly, allow free account users to publish only one event type at any given time.
  • Get paid for your time: The Leap offers you the ability to take payments for bookings, with customers selecting their booking slot during checkout. This might seem like a no-brainer, but apps like Calendly don’t offer this feature to users with free accounts.

How to sell one-on-one sessions with The Leap’s Book My Time

The Leap’s Book My Time features lets you set up — and start selling — your availability in just a few minutes. Here’s how to do it in six easy steps.

  1. Create your Book My Time product
  2. Set your event’s duration
  3. Connect to Google Calendar
  4. Set your availability
  5. Build your product’s landing page
  6. Publish your Book My Time product
  7. Manage your upcoming bookings

Step 1: Create your Book My Time product

Sign up (or log in) to The Leap and tap Products on the left-side menu. Then, click on + Add Product. Scroll down and select Book my time below Sell an existing product or service.

Step 2: Set your event’s duration

Then, select your event’s duration from options provided in the drop-down menu below Booking Options.

Step 3: Connect to Google Calendar

If you’re subscribed to one of The Leap’s paid plans, you have the option to connect your Leap account to Google Calendar.

When a client purchases your Book My Time product, a Google Calendar event will be automatically created for both you and your client, with a unique Google Meet link for the session. This helps simplify the booking process: you won’t need to manually reach out to your clients to share a meeting location when a booking is made, or forget to create calendar events for any incoming bookings. Talk about having peace of mind!

With Google Calendar’s reminder notifications, you — and your clients — are also less likely to miss your Book My Time sessions.

Psst: Paid plan users of The Leap will soon be able to sync their calendar availability automatically with their Google Calendar. Watch this space for the latest update!


Step 4: Set your availability

Click on Set availability below Booking options.

Select your timezone from the drop-down menu below Availability.

Set your regular weekly hours for customer bookings by checking the boxes and adjusting the hours next to each day.

Note: Leaving a box unchecked means that that day will be blocked off in your calendar, and clients will not be able to book sessions on that day. For the days you select as available, booking slots will be made available in 15-minute increments.

Going on vacation, or got an upcoming doctor’s appointment? No problem, you can block off specific dates that differ from your regular weekly availability by tapping + Add blocked date below Blocked dates.

Select the date you’d like to block off on your calendar and tap Add blocked date. This date will appear on your list of blocked dates. If you’d like to remove a blocked date, simply tap the X next to that date.

Before returning to your Book My Time product page, tap Save on the top right corner to finalize your availability.

Heads up: Bookings require a minimum notice of 24 hours (so you don’t get surprise last-minute bookings), and bookings can only be made up to four weeks in advance.


Step 5: Build your product’s landing page

Once you’ve set your availability, create your Book My Time product’s landing page just as you would when creating any other product on The Leap. This includes adding a title, product description, and imagery, as well as a price.

If you want to save time building your Book My Time product’s sales page, you can use our AI-powered landing page generator to create a draft for you in seconds. Simply scroll down to the Product description field and tap Generate in the right hand corner to let AI write compelling, high-converting copy for your landing page.

Step 6: Publish your Book My Time product

Ready to let the bookings (and the cash) roll in? To publish your Book My Time product, tap Save on the upper right corner and set your product to Live.

What’s next? Once someone has signed up to your Book My Time product, you’ll receive an email notification about the date, time, email address, and any additional information that your client submitted via the intake form during checkout. Please reach out to your client via your own email with meeting location details — we suggest using Google Meet to provide free and secure video conferencing, or offer your business phone number for video calls.

When your clients signs up for your product, they’ll also receive an email notification confirming the date and time.


Step 7: Manage your upcoming bookings

You can view and manage all of your upcoming bookings from your Leap dashboard. Simply tap the Calendar section on the left-side menu and select Events.

Under the Upcoming section of your Events page, you’ll be able to see all of your upcoming sessions plus details for each including the date, time, and product, as well as each client’s name and contact information. You can also click on each session to see more details.

Want to see the details of your past bookings? Simply select the Past section on the upper left corner of your Events page.
